A Voyage Out Into the Faroes was DFC´s debut production. The production draws its title and inspiration from a text authored in 1772/73 by J.C. Svabo, acclaimed as the first Faroese academic. Svabo's text delves into and scrutinizes Faroese culture, local myths, and superstitions prevalent in the 18th century. With this performance DFC aimed to echo this exploration.
A Voyage Out Into the Faroes was to become the prototype for future DFC productions.
